Job Summary | Pediatric Cardiology is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join the interdisciplinary care team. The role involves active participation in rounds, discharge planning, and patient care conferences as needed. Responsibilities include completing nutrition assessments and reassessments using the Nutrition Care Process, as recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which may involve conducting patient interviews and performing nutrition-focused physical exams. The dietitian will document all aspects of nutrition care, assign and oversee the workload of diet technicians, and collaborate closely with the Food Service department to ensure optimal patient care. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will integrate current practice guidelines and make dietary recommendations. They will also have direct patient care, critical thinking, and basic computer navigation skills. They will be able to communicate with patient families and the provider/ peer team. They will also have knowledge of electronic health records or be familiar with a similar system. |
