| Job Summary | The Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) is seeking a highly motivated, professional Research Regulatory Specialist II to contribute to the variety of perspectives and excellence of our department and to assist the faculty and staff of our fast-paced research center. The CCTS supports campus research professionals to ensure they are able to meet their research goals and ultimately improve the health of our communities and populations. Our vision is to foster a community that guides and transforms our approaches to healthcare, education, research and community partnerships. We believe that the innovation, collaboration, and rigor that arise from bringing together different perspectives and ensuring fairness are essential to our mission of eliminating health disparities within the community. Since its inception in 2006, the CCTS has invested millions of dollars into research funding and trainee support at the University of Kentucky through its commitment to funding innovative, early stage translational research. The CCTS’s vision is to catalyze clinical and translational discoveries through an integrated and transformative research environment targeting improved health, with emphasis on underserved populations in Kentucky. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Knowledge of regulatory requirements for human subject research, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Responsible Conduct of Research, NIH and FDA regulations and procedures. Effective oral and written communication. Organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task. Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Work independently and navigate institutional resources.Certification preferred (SOCRA, ACRP, etc.) |

| Preferred Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience. Research certification (SOCRA, ACRP, etc.) preferred. |
