Physical Requirements This position will require frequent use of a computer performing data entry and communicating via email, communicating verbally and in writing with staff; some exposure to : bloodborne pathogens, combative people, repetitive motion, and risk of injury from moving and lifting patients, equipment, or materials. Shift Shift will vary; as an exempt position in a hospital with 24 / 7 operations, this position may be required to perform work outside normal business hours and on weekends / holidays. Job Summary This position will assume 24-hour responsibility for coordination of care of adult patients throughout the hospital and during the pre-hospital phase of care. This position ensures comprehensive and continuous patient centered, financially responsible care for each patient entering or traversing the health care system, in the context of the trauma program. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Microsoft Office as well as familiarity with data aggregation software. Current experience with adult / pediatric trauma patients, personnel computer skills.
The Trauma Program Manager is expected to complete the Optimal Trauma Center Organization 7 Management Course (Optimal) and Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) within the first two years of employment. Additionally, the Manager should hold current membership in a national or regional trauma organization and maintain a minimum of 36 hours of trauma-related continuing education during every 3 year verification cycle. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education / Experience BSN required; MSN and a minimum of 3 years of trauma experience preferred. Salary : $71,323 - $131,685
