Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; regularly lifting and transporting objects up to 25 lbs; and repetitive motion.
Shift
7a-330p Monday through Friday but may require occasional weekends and nights to cover the educational needs of the department.
Job Summary
The Central Sterile Education Coordinator facilitates the ongoing competency and professional development of the clinical staff in the Central Sterile area through education, support, guidance, role modeling, mentorship and promotion of evidence-based and research-based practice. This position will be responsible for education and planning, by assessing as well as developing/implementing educational needs/programs as it relates to unit goals and enterprise goals. The Education Coordinator will provide leadership in orientation and onboarding of new employees, collaborate with team members/other colleagues on problem solving and share policy & practice with staff and validating staff competency.

Microsoft office (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint), presentation skills, oral and written communication skills

5 years of central sterile experience/bachelor’s degree preferred
