Physical Requirements n / a Shift Monday-Friday 8am-5pm occasional weekends and holidays Job Summary The successful Database Administration Analyst II will provide tier 1 support of all ITS incidents and requests for UK Healthcare database environment. This role focuses on continuous improvement, financial management, project milestones, customer service, and database administration. The position involves monitoring the work environment for improvement opportunities, assisting with budgeting for ITS operations, and ensuring the success of IT governance and ITS projects. It requires adherence to UK HealthCare’s service excellence standards and maintaining professional behavior in interactions. A key component of the role is providing excellent customer service, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships within the department. Additionally, the role demands technical expertise in database administration, including configuring, deploying, and maintaining database servers, overseeing performance, capacity planning, and enforcing best practices for SQL, backup, and recovery strategies. Strong leadership, decision-making, project management, and technical skills are essential for success in this position. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate will possess experience in project management methodologies, customer service, and critical thinking. Technical expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, and scripting for database management, along with troubleshooting, capacity planning, and backup / recovery strategies, is crucial. Salary : $54,080 - $95,056
