Job Summary Reporting to the B&E Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs, the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs is a senior leadership position in the Gatton College of Business and Economics. This position is responsible for overseeing and advancing the priorities of the College, emphasizing strategic enrollment planning and trend analysis, community building, outreach, and recruitment oversight, and student life cycle management and operational leadership. The Assistant Dean will collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure a holistic, supportive, and engaging environment for students while aligning with the strategic goals of the college.
Qualifications :
- Master’s degree required, preferably in higher education, student affairs, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in student affairs, enrollment management, or higher education administration, with a focus on graduate or professional students.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams, cross-departmental collaboration, and engagement with students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
- Strong understanding of enrollment management strategies, recruitment, and retention best practices, analytics.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging community for diverse student populations.
- Experience in managing facilities or spaces in separate locations is a plus.Work Environment : This position requires working in the Gatton College of Business and Economics. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to attend events, meetings, and student engagement activities.
