Competitive Pay & Flexible Shifts:
- $17.50 - $27.31 / per hour
- Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week, 6p – 6a; will include the requirement to work some weekend and holidays.
Your Role as an Emergency Medicine Dispatcher
- Aid in providing exceptional patient care by managing and directing calls.
- Dispatch as appropriate UK ambulances for ground transport for patient care.
- Assist in air traffic control for helicopters landing at the UK Medical Center.
- Relay as necessary pertinent information to the appropriate UK hospital teams.
- Ensure hospital compliance by adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education:
- High-school Diploma, required
Experience:
- 1 year of related experience is required
Preferred
- 2 years of related experience, preferred
- Experience in air traffic control operations within a large healthcare organization, preferred
- 1 year of Public Safety / 911 dispatch experience, preferred
- Dispatch certification, preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification is required
- Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) earned within one year of hire, required
