Job Summary The Executive Director of Finance & Administration will provide visionary leadership for the University’s Finance and Administration Business Support Center, oversee strategic project management services, institutional-wide training, and business operations support in alignment with the University’s long-term goals and mission. This will include driving growth and evolution of the Finance and Administration Specialized Training (FAST) Program with a focus on enhancing business, financial, and administrative operations to foster greater organizational transparency, accountability, and trust across all departments. The Executive Director will build, nurture, and lead high-performing teams to effectively execute the University’s strategic priorities.
This role will lead and support high-priority initiatives in partnership with executive leadership, directly contributing to the advancement of the University’s strategic objectives and institutional transformations. The Executive Director will provide expert guidance in initiative planning, management, and control, ensuring alignment with university strategy, while fostering collaboration and engagement with partners. Responsibilities will also include managing the flow of critical, sensitive, and confidential information with professional judgement and situational awareness.
The Executive Director will champion and exemplify exceptional customer service at all levels of the organization, establishing clear expectations for internal and external service delivery based on University goals and industry best practices. Continuous evaluation of departmental functions and workflows will be required, as well as implementing process improvements and assessing their effectiveness to ensure operational excellence. The Executive Director will ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, local, and University regulations, policies, and procedures, overseeing compliance within the scope of responsibilities.
