The Data and Reporting Analyst will provide analytical support for the Office of Institutional Research in the completion of internal and external data requests and the development of reports for data-driven decision-making, institutional reporting, and regulatory needs.
Responsibilities Include
- Prepare descriptive and quantitative data about the University to support institutional decision-making, reporting, and regulatory needs.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the reporting environment using programming languages and database technologies, such as SQL and Python.
- Programmatically transform and validate raw data into prepared datasets for analysis and reporting.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical users at all levels of function across the University and its partners to identify requirements and convey analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, management information systems, or similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in relational database technologies and computer programming languages like SQL and Python.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and analytics skills.
- Ability to translate business processes, requirements, or questions into technical systems and solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Experience with data governance principles and practices.
- Experience with data visualization or reporting tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or Cognos.
- Experience with higher education processes, data platforms, and CRM systems.
- Experience using version control software, such as Git.
