Job Summary
To process institutional, state, and federal financial aid for ULM aid recipients, and ensure integrity of financial aid process and award for students receiving aid.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor student awards for accuracy
- Award, revise, and cancel financial aid packages, as needed
- Process counselor worksheets and summer aid
- Evaluate reports to ensure correctness of financial aid data
- Verify SAR Comment Code status for student records (C-FLAGS)
- Copier Report
- Prepare Skip Trace Reports for Nelnet
- Default rate reduction planning and implementation
- Transfer monitoring
- Prepare 3rd party scholarship deposit slip
- 3rd party reconciliation (end of fall / end of spring)
- Financial Literacy requirements tracking
- Informed borrow consent for student loans tracking / yearly recon.
- Identity theft investigation and reporting
- Loan Reconciliation
- PELL Reconciliation
- V4V5 Verification Reporting
- Pell lifetime limit check
- RRRAREQ tracking report : COD(E), BBB, NSLDS, etc.
- Weekly Navient skip trace reports
- Aggregate loan limit check
- Financial Aid History Update (beginning of fall and spring)
- Summer Awarding
- File Room Archive every summer
- Organize file room and send documents to image now as and when needed
- General problem-solving of Banner and Banner reporting
- General problem-solving of student aid issues, as needed
- Serve as backup to other processors, when needed
- Other duties as assigned by Associate Director and Director
- Less than 10% travel required
- Less than 5% unpaid absenteeism
