Working with and guided by the MAFES Director and Associate Director, this position provides support for infrastructure, maintenance, and programming across these and other college resources, including long-term budget planning and facility and equipment management. Representing MAFES, this position engages with statewide agriculture and forestry commodity organizations, state agencies, and other stakeholders across Maine to align university activities and to communicate the impact of MAFES. Typical hiring salary for this position is $55,600 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, natural resources, or a related natural science field.
- Two years of professional experience as a researcher, coordinator, or project manager.
- Ability to communicate with farm superintendents, faculty, students, and stakeholders.
- Ability to assess research and teaching operational needs.
- Ability to represent MAFES and the college to statewide stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and activities at one time.
- Ability to work independently and work in a team environment.
- Class C driver’s license.
- Ability to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in MAFES and ELH.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, or a related natural science field.
- Direct experience in research, facilities, or operations coordination.
