The University of Maine School of Law is accepting applications for a Director of Career Development . This person helps students and graduates to make informed decisions about career paths and develop individual strategies to obtain career goals. The Director of Career Development is responsible for the administration, planning, and development of careers services for law students and alumni/ae. The work location is 300 Fore Street, Portland.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends required. This position reports to the Dean of Student Services and is an integral part of a dynamic team.
Salary: The hiring salary range is $85,000-$90,000/year.

Qualifications
Required:
- J.D. degree or a master’s degree in counseling, student personnel, higher education administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal, counseling skills and communication skills (writing and public speaking).
License/Certifications:
- Must have passed a state bar exam; current license not required but preferred.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with local and regional legal market.
- Experience in a legal career service, recruitment position, or law practice experience.
