The University of Southern Maine (USM) is seeking a full-time Human Resources Project Assistant (Conf) CL2 to support USM Campus Human Resources Services. This is an excellent opportunity for an applicant who is interested in further developing their administrative, data, and project management skills and abilities in a high-production, multi-faceted HR organization where self-direction, efficiency and teamwork are appreciated and respected. The Project Assistant is a key member of the HR team. The individual will be someone who understands and appreciates the value and importance of the administrative role within a high functioning team. This role will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and project support for the HR team, with an emphasis on facilitating processes and procedures and compiling reports. Additionally, this role assists with the coordination of complex meetings and associated tasks/projects and serves as the point of contact for many constituencies.
This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Salary: The starting wage for this position is $20.28 an hour (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee ACSUM/COLT unit member with the University of Maine System.

Required:
- 3 years of administrative, project support, or comparable experience; combined with some college. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Ability to work well with many people at all levels of an organization.
- Must have a close attention to detail , solid organization, and possess solid i ndependent judgment, initiative, and confidentiality.
- Aptitude for problem-solving, logistics, interpersonal communication, and exceptional customer service
- Data and Microsoft Office proficiency (intermediate to advanced).
