What are the responsibilities and job description for the YourPace Admissions Specialist (3 Positions) position at University of Maine?
The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking to hire three (3) Admissions Specialists to be a part of a dynamic and innovative team that provides proactive, student centered support to adult graduate and undergraduate competency-based education (YourPace) prospects, applicants, and students.
The primary responsibility of the Admissions Specialist is to assist students from inquiry to enrollment. This position provides support to students throughout the application process and connects them with other essential university departments as necessary. This position serves as a liaison between the Admissions Office and their New Student Enrollment Specialist after matriculation.
The Admissions Specialist will work closely with all members of the UMPI Admissions team as well as the YourPace New Student Enrollment Specialists, YourPace Student Success Coaches, Office of Student Records, Student Financial Services and Student Support Services.
This position is designated as an essential position requiring the individual to be able to work remotely during periods of inclement weather and/or campus emergencies.
Remote, hybrid and/ or on-campus work locations will be considered and determined in consultation with the successful candidate(s).

The salary for this position is $43,951. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates with an associate’s degree combined with related experience will be considered (e.g. administration, customer service, admissions, K-12 education, or data management).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in admissions, tutoring, counseling, customer service or sales.
