What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Accounts Representative/Administrative Receptionist position at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor?
Responsibilities: Performs routine daily activities related to student accounts, to include the provision of excellent customer service, reviewing student accounts, account communications and collections. Serves as an advocate and advisor to assist students and families with their financial obligation inquiries. Provides receptionist and clerical support for the University, to include operation of the University switchboard, voice menu and messaging design and update, receiving and directing incoming calls; greeting and directing visitors; receiving and directing incoming mail and faxes; generating documentation and correspondence; data input; and related functions. Incumbent will work approximately fifty percent of the workweek as a Student Accounts Representative and fifty percent of the workweek as the Administrative Receptionist.
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years employment experience in a billing, bookkeeping, accounts receivable or cashier/teller position is required.
- Experience in a high level of customer service environment (to include walk-up, written, email and telephone communications) is required.
- Cash handling experience (cash drawer reconciliation and/or bank deposits) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (excel, word processing, e-mail, database, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
- Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
