The User Experience Manager is part of the Advancement Services Department that provides support relating to advancement and engagement technology and services for the University System of Maryland. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Advancement Services, the Manager is responsible for designing effective learning modalities and curriculum, developing user centric documentation, training materials and job aids, and conducting training on advancement tools and solutions for all levels of users. They will manage security roles and user access, working closely with Consortium representatives to ensure training and access authorization has been completed successfully and reaffirmed on a regular basis. In addition, the manager will create and maintain technical documentation, conduct testing on changes to the CRM system of record and related solutions and incorporate changes into training and documentation. The manager will respond to requests from USM institutions and oversee data quality and management activities.
Physical Demands:
Traditional office environment with majority of time spent on computers and working at a desk.
Preferences:
Experience with online and classroom based education and learning including training and support of end users learning and optimizing business work flows using advanced application systems.
Trainer Certification or experience, or help-desk/call center experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Detailed-oriented trainer with the ability to comprehend and communicate clearly.
Strong presentation skills in online/virtual settings as well as classroom and 1:1.
Fluency with desktop applications such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Troubleshooting abilities in order to diagnose and correct application problems.
A team player as well as able to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of professional information technology, system testing, end user access maintenance, or help desk experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of advanced application systems. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
