Job Overview:
The University Of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computed Tomography Radiographer II to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Key Responsibility 1: Execute basic clinical competence in CT imaging, selecting accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
- Key Responsibility 2: Apply knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning, and patient care skills, adhering to Joint Commission, State, Federal, organizational, and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
- Key Responsibility 3: Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
- Key Responsibility 4: Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory in the area, informing colleagues when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors, documenting and reporting related to equipment/environmental problems according to policy, and following equipment quality control procedures with appropriate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA); 1 years of experience; Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (R) and (CT); Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland; Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Successful completion of a CT program, Bachelor degree in health science or related field; 2 years of experience in CT; Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (R) and (CT); Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland; Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
