Job Description:
This role involves performing routine and specialized sonographic procedures under general supervision. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of sonographic principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning, and patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Executing clinical competence in sonography, selecting accurate equipment and technical factors for individual patients, and demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient's age.
Applying knowledge of sonographic principles and practices, including high-level disinfecting procedures, to meet organizational infection prevention standards.
Documenting accurate patient care activity in electronic health records systems.
Ensuring a safe and appropriate work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory, and reporting related equipment/environmental problems according to policy.
Participating in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved and accredited ultrasound education program.
1 year of clinical independent RDMS experience.
Licensures/Certifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
RDMS Certification.
Additional Requirements:
RDMS certification with additional RVT certification within 1 year (preferred).
