Job Description
The Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse accountable for ensuring safe, effective and appropriate patient care on a designated patient care unit. They serve as the link between the Hospital's Vision and the unit.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, effective and appropriate patient care on a designated patient care unit.
- Serve as the link between the Hospital's Vision and the unit.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Three years of progressive experience in hospital nursing and proven administrative/leadership ability.
- At least two years of progressive experience in the emergency department.
Working Conditions
Works inside. May be exposed to body fluids and hazardous materials, requiring observation of Standard (Universal) Precautions and safe handling practices.
Physical Requirements
Work is heavy. Requires close attention to many details and standing, walking, and ascending/descending stairs 3-5 hours/day.
