The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

- The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) NP team is composed of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) who provide 7 day/week and rotating night coverage for pediatric critical care patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses including post-operative cardiothoracic surgery and transplant patients.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients in collaboration with physician colleagues.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides continuity of patient care by facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, the patient, and the patient’s family.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) serves as a link, integrating relevant research and best practices.

Qualifications
- A Master of Science degree, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization. A minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience is required.
- Physician Assistant applicants must have successfully completed a PA program and obtain a Maryland PA license.
- CRNP Pediatric Acute Care certification required
Pay Range: $54 - $77
