Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Technician to join our team at the University Of Maryland Medical System. As a Medical Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized sonographic procedures using high-level disinfecting techniques and adhering to organizational infection prevention standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute basic clinical competence in Sonography, selecting accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.
Apply knowledge of Sonographic principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning, and patient care skills.
Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
Maintain a safe and appropriate work environment, ensuring supplies and inventory are up-to-date and informing colleagues when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors.
Requirements:
Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Education Program.
1 year experience of Clinical Independent RDMS experience.
Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and RDMS Certification.
