They will provide technical assistance and training related to postsecondary education for students with intellectual disabilities, in collaboration with the Technical Assistance Manager, Alliances Manager, and Program Directors. The incumbent will serve as a technical assistance provider, documenting and addressing requests. They will support and contribute to the development of training resources and information through multiple formats including online learning resources, research-to-practice briefs and how-to guides, virtual resource repositories, as well as conducting in-person and remote trainings, webinars, and conference presentations. They will provide administrative support for the technical assistance team such as soliciting and receiving reports, tracking and receiving deliverables, scheduling meetings, and following up with partners as needed. The position may be held remotely, but regular nation-wide travel will be required.Examples of Duties : Plan for and provide direct technical assistance and training in collaboration with other technical assistance and training team members, state and regional alliances and other partners to program staff, faculty and higher education administrators, employers, persons with intellectual disabilities, family members, community organizations and education professionals.Work closely with the technical assistance manager and regional alliance manager to support documentation of technical assistance activities and assist with fiscal record keeping, invoicing and tracking.Support the development and ongoing operation of communities of practice and other groups to deliver on-demand and collaborative technical assistance and support to professionals, families, and students.Provide administrative support for the technical assistance team such as soliciting and receiving reports, tracking and receiving partner deliverables, scheduling meetings, and following up with partners as needed.Review metrics and trends in the provision of technical assistance to support improved practice or identify needed resource development.Support dissemination of project materials and resources at conferences, trainings and events via presentations or exhibits.Organize notes from data-driven technical assistance provision to create summary reports.Work with the Technical Assistance and Training team to support development of technical assistance resources (e.g., manuals, training materials) to support program development and operations as well as topics such as transition to college, finding the right college and other key topics related to inclusive postsecondary education.Provide technical assistance and training that is accessible and responsive to diverse audiences which include individuals with disabilities, individuals from diverse linguistic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, among others.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in special education, higher education, rehabilitation counseling, disability studies, or other relevant field, and a minimum of two years of experience providing instruction, training, and / or technical assistance for / to people with intellectual disabilities. Minimum of two years’ experience working with inclusive postsecondary education programs and students with intellectual disabilities is required, with experience working in a state or regional alliance preferred. Experience in supporting and documenting processes like program evaluation, project management, training development, and / or program development is preferred.
