Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Office of Survey Research Call Center Supervisor, the Survey Research Interviewer is responsible for conducting interviews via telephone by reading survey questions from a computer screen and entering the answers into the survey system.
Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct interviews by telephone and accurately enter responses to survey questions into the survey system
- Follow survey research procedures and guidelines to obtain high quality information
- Follow guidelines to persuade reluctant respondents to take the survey over the phone
- Maintain confidentiality of respondent information according to HIPAA, University, and the Office of Survey Research guidelines
- Participate in quality assurance processes for all tasks
- Participate in on-the-job training and the support of other staff members as directed
- Comply with established University and the Office of Survey Research policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-6 months prior experience necessary
- Since this is remote work, must have a quiet space to work in with WiFi connectivity so that the confidentiality of the survey information can be maintained
- Clear speaking voice
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish)
- Excellent communication skills
- Good typing skills
- Must be available to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-12 months call center experience
