Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed descriptions of collections, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
- Collaborate with researchers, faculty, and students to provide access to collections and promote the use of primary sources in teaching and research.
- Train and supervise student assistants, promoting their development and growth within the archives and manuscript collections.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and implement exhibitions, programs, and events.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in library science or equivalent from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
- Training in archival management, manuscripts, rare books, and/or special collections.
- Strong knowledge of cataloging and classification systems, including MARC, AACR2, and Dewey Decimal Classification.
