General Summary of Position :
The UMass Lowell University Library seeks a collaborative and service-oriented part-time associate to join the Systems & Discovery team at the University Library. We welcome applications from people who embrace lifelong learning and are passionate about providing meaningful and equitable access to information, resources, and services to a diverse and engaged community.
The Systems & Discovery Library Associate will play a key role in supporting the library's ongoing efforts to manage and enhance its assessment and management of electronic discovery of library resources. This person in this position will work on a series of projects, focusing on tasks such as inventory and assessment of discovery and authentication for various resources, platforms, and databases. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of managing projects simultaneously while collaborating with library staff and other troubleshooting stakeholders such as users and vendors.
Examples of duties include :
- Data entry for electronic resource management, Database A-Z list, etc.
- Coordinating and troubleshooting with vendors to confirm authentication configuration.
- Evaluate current authentication and access configurations.
- Promote the University's commitment to customer service by freely sharing appropriate information and providing assistance when needed; ensuring optimal service to all internal and external partners in response to all requests for service and information; maintaining an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles.

Schedule : Schedule to be determined in consultation with the Digital Services & Technology Librarian; some remote work may be possible.
Pay : $22 / hr for 18 hrs / wk
