Miami Transplant Institute is seeking a Medical Director of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant program. This individual will be responsible for partnering with medical and surgical leaders to structure, direct, and drive success of the living donor kidney program.
The Director will be expected to build upon and advance the Living Donor Kidney program through advances in patient care and support of the department’s research efforts. The Director will be responsible for growing a sustainable and successful Living Donor Kidney Transplant program with world-class patient outcomes.
Essential Job Functions :
Provide direct patient care to adult outpatients in the Miami Transplant Institute faculty practice (including satellite clinics) and adult inpatients at Jackson Memorial Hospital
Direct outpatient care to adult pre- and post-transplant patients
Direct inpatient care to adult pre- and post-transplant patients
Attendance at multidisciplinary transplant conferences and rounds
Precepting trainees in inpatient and outpatient settings
Participate in medical student, resident and fellow education
Desired Qualifications :
Awarded degree of M.D. or D.O. from an ABIM recognized internal medicine residency
Valid ABIM Certification in Nephrology
Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply
Specialized training in transplant nephrology after fellowship highly desired
Experience working and teaching in academic setting highly desired
