The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, has a position for Professor.
This position will see patients as well as perform cancer-related research and will hold the title of UM Frost Dermatology Director of Precision & Translational Dermatology. This role will focus on advancing personalized approaches to dermatology treatment by incorporating scientific research to develop tailored therapies for patients. The clinical component will operate as the primary interface with the public, patients, and physicians, and will coordinate and optimize patient care while concurrently fostering the academic development of the team members. The research component will house the shared resources and assist in the clinical or basic investigation into skin cancer care and biology.
Duties will be divided 70% clinical effort and 10% research, 10% administrative and 10% educational activities. Including the development of the Precision & Translational program, participation in educational conferences, department meetings, scholarly work, and administrative functions associated with the department.
Must be a Florida-licensed M.D. Fully trained in Dermatology -board-certified or board-eligible. Will be expected to generate sufficient funds to cover his/her professional income practice expenses and contribute to the Department of Dermatology for each fiscal year.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, in teaching, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group.
