Job Description
Functions as a clinical faculty member of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine reporting directly to the Specialty Service Director and Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology with the following responsibilities:
Clinical Educational, and Academic Duties (100%):
- Provide surgical pathology diagnostic services under the supervision of the subspecialty Division directors of the surgical pathology services.
- Perform and interpreting frozen sections and provide evening and weekend call coverage for the surgical pathology services at UHealth and Jackson Health System.
- Attend and present at tumor boards and education sessions related to surgical pathology.
- Provide educational lectures to residents and fellows, as requested.
- Perform all duties in compliance with the Departments quality assurance guidelines.
- Participate in academic projects sponsored by subspecialty heads.
- Provide support for residents on service.
