The JAM lab (www.jam-lab.org) in the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami invites applicants interested in a Research Associate position beginning July/August 2025. The position will involve responsibilities of recruiting and scheduling participants for research studies, data collection (MRI and behavioral), data analysis and processing using Python and fMRI software packages (FreeSurfer, fMRIprep, etc.), administrative duties, IRB management, and general management of lab operations. Individuals with an interest in the brain circuits supporting learning and memory, higher-order cognition, and their dysfunction in aging (and neuropsychiatric disorders) are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will have completed an undergraduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. The job requires exceptional organizational skills, high motivation and initiative, and the ability to interact efficiently and courteously with others. Individuals with prior experience collecting and analyzing MRI data, experience with scientific programming (Python, Unix, Matlab, etc.) will be given preference. - 50% - data collection (MRI and behavioral), recruitment of participants for research studies.
- 30% - data analysis using Python, fMRI software packages, compiling reports of data
- 15% - IRB management, literature searches
- 5% - other duties as assigned
