The Division of Abdominal Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track. The incumbent will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. Job Functions :
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows
- Participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research
- Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations and perform some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures
- Participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference
- Supervise the performance of technical personnel
- Be part of the on-call radiology schedule
- Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of general radiology and abdominal imaging
- Provide abdominal imaging consultation as requested
- Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the division director or Chair
- Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of musculoskeletal radiology
- Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology as required in : Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology / Interventional Radiology Residency programs, Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Program, Medical student education program, Radiologic technologist educational programs, Continuing Medical Education programs
- Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair
