This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the University Staff United (USU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

As the Assistant Director of Admissions you will manage the recruitment, evaluation, and selection processes for MBA applicants. You are an expert in admissions strategy and outreach to diverse populations. You will represent the school at events, contribute to strategic planning initiatives, and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the applicant pipeline. You are an exceptional public speaker and are committed to offering outstanding customer service. You will report to the Senior Associate Director.

Admissions Recruitment & Outreach (20%)

The posting range for this position is $52,300 - $64,550. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.

Admissions Recruitment & Outreach (20%)
- Represent the school at domestic and international recruitment events
- Build relationships with prospective students and stakeholders to enhance applicant diversity
- Provide advanced applicant support throughout the admissions process
- Lead outreach efforts for assigned populations and serve as the club liaison for specific groups
- Evaluate applications, make recommendations, and ensure fair decision-making
- Manage FERPA requests and appointments per university policies
- Oversee the applicant interview process, including interviewer recruitment, training, and scheduling
- Collect and analyze interview data to improve process efficiency and consistency
- Plan and manage on-campus and virtual recruitment events
- Conduct post-event analysis to optimize future events
- Identify opportunities for recruitment and process improvements
- Develop strategies aligned with enrollment and diversity goals
- Mentor junior admissions staff and serve on cross-departmental committees
- Maintain accurate recruitment data in Salesforce for reporting and analysis
- Research and integrate new processes and technologies to enhance efficiency
- Support special projects while ensuring compliance with policies and ethical standards
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related work experience
- Demonstrated experience managing sensitive and confidential information in a professional setting
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues and learning new applications
- 1 years of experience in admissions event planning and logistics
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to mixed audiences
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plus database, email, and calendar software
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, V-lookups)
