Job Summary

The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate for a clinical instructor / clinical assistant / clinical associate / clinical professor position. The primary responsibilities for this new pathologist will be within the Division of Anatomic Pathology. This pathologists will primarily contribute support to the gynecologic (GYN) pathology service. Their clinical service responsibilities will account for most of their professional time. The balance of their time will be spent in the pursuit of scholarly and teaching activities. Teaching activities will be primarily related to our pathology residents and fellows but will also involve medical students who rotate on our service, and clinical fellows. The appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and record of academic achievements.

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine degree (or equivalent), American Board of Pathology board certified or board eligible in AP / CP, AP or CP. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. Successful completion of a GYN pathology fellowship or the equivalent and have a track record of peer-reviewed publications, clinical excellence, and commitment to education is desirable.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
