The Patient Care Supervisor, Technologist actively supervises the clinical operations of clinic(s) and outreach locations and front end business operations. Provides daily work direction and supervision of staff to ensure providers have adequate staffing assistance to accommodate clinic efficiency while also achieving site objectives. Directly supervises all non-clinical staff and other patient care staff as assigned.
Lead and facilitates in improvement projects / teams to optimize clinic quality outcomes, operational and financial efficiency, customer and staff satisfaction. Supervises training of staff and ongoing development to ensure that employees are competent. Assists and / or hires new staff in collaboration with clinic director. Ensures staff training complies with regulatory requirements. Advises and leads in conjunction with Clinic Operations Director, staff with regard to changes in the medical community to ensure best practices. Clinical policy / direction and may assist with care of patients in urgent and emergent situations promotes clinical services. Assists in achieving coordination, consistency and integration in the operation of the clinic site in conjunction with clinic leadership, and manages the development and implementation of required learnings, policies and procedures. Ensure solid business operations for clinic efficiency with systems for registration, scheduling, pre-visit management, collection of copays, and supply / equipment utilization.
Responsibilities :
Supervises (Non-RN) Patient Care Staff in Clinic setting
- Acts as a working supervisor; works alongside staff
- Maintains a communication system to assure all employees have relevant, timely, and appropriate information
- Holds patient care staff accountable for their work
- Provides feedback and coaching on an ongoing basis
- Conducts fair, accurate and timely performance reviews
- Continuously takes action to enhance employee satisfaction
- Ensures that human resource policies and procedures are followed
- Exercises independent judgment as to the work flow of areas of responsibility with respect to patient care, in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines
Supervises clinical operations
Focuses on patients and customers
Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Coordinates daily activities of work team to ensure patient needs are met.
Provides Technical Services as needed and promotes team environment across the site and through interactions with other clinics.
Supports a safe work environment.
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate's degree
ARRT / ARDMS Certification
Credentialed in MRI
5 years of experience MRI
Knowledge of basic nursing practices related to Imaging, including emergency procedures, sterile practices, infection control techniques and CPR
