The PAC Nurse works in an advanced specialty clinic and must be competent caring for surgical patients of all specialties with multiple co-morbidities. Assists in achieving goal of physical, psychological and regulatory readiness prior to surgery. This RN will complete pre-operative nursing assessment for all patients requiring surgery. At this time, education will be provided regarding preoperative preparation and RN will individualize education based on the patient/family's need to include incentive spirometer, nutritional improvements, increased activity, glucose management and other needs. Education will be provided to patients, families and, at times, to fellow team members.

What You Will Do As a Clinic RN Specialist
- Assesses patient needs and identifies anticipated nursing outcomes
- Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other health care team members
- Implements nursing interventions based on care plan
- Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patients
- Assists provider with complex procedures and independently completes a variety of tasks including, but no limited to, injections, phone triage and preparation of education materials, patient education, patient vital checks, chart documentation and monitors standards of care.
- RN license State of MN.
- 2 years of RN experience.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with electronic health record systems
