The Peer Support Specialists will provide night-time on-call service to community emergency departments and daytime face-to-face and technology-mediated patient care in coordination with the project’s clinical team.Education & Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
A Peer Support Specialist should have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges and be in stable recovery (> 1 yr minimum) in management of those challenges. Must be ready, willing, and able to provide non-clinical, strengths-based support to others seeking their own, individualized, person-centered recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide night-time on-call crisis support
- Provide daytime face-to-face crisis support
- Act as liaison between the patient and the clinical staff
- Provide outreach and educate on Medication-Assisted Treatment
- Facilitate Peer Support Groups
