Reporting to the Head Coach, the assistant Coach will be directly responsible for coordinating the activities of his or her unit.
Responsibilities will include:
Student-athlete recruitment and development, on field coaching, contest scheduling, and compliance with all NCAA and SEC rules and regulations;
Coordinating and preparing his or her unit for competition, including organizing practices to ensure the unit operates at a high level;
Assisting with the development of the overall student-athlete experience by mentoring student-athletes including evaluating their performance in practice and competition while providing leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies as required;
Assisting with implementing recruiting strategy, including statistical analysis of prospective student-athlete data and assisting in off campus recruiting and evaluation of potential student-athletes;
Participating in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponent tendencies and assisting in designing scouting reports and game strategies;
Promoting the philosophy and objectives of the University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including adhering to all Departmental, University, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations;
Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach, the assigned sport administrator, or the Director of Athletics.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in off-campus recruiting, game strategy, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities.
