Job Description
The Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri has an exciting opportunity for a Research Technician in the laboratory of Dr. Shiyou Chen. The Research Technician will assist with the execution of daily activities for a highly productive research laboratory. The individual in this position will assist with the implementation of various research projects including data collection, writing report, mouse colony management, genotyping, running different assays including Western blot, PCR, immunostaining, mouse tissue processing, histological analyses, as well as reagent preparation, cell culture, imaging capturing, and proper disposal of laboratory waste, etc.
Shift
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Hiring Range: $13.00-$16.77
Grade: GGS-004
