Job Description

The Student Support Specialist Senior will serve as a Coordinator within the Student Financial Aid office, playing a vital role in the processing and management of federal, state and institutional financial aid. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies while supporting the efficient delivery of financial aid to students. The role offers the possibility of flexible work arrangements following the successful completion of an in-office training period.

Primary functions include, but are not limited to :

• Process and award federal, state, and institutional financial aid to eligible students in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure aid packages comply with all federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
• Perform reviews and make necessary adjustments to financial aid awards to reflect changes in student eligibility or special circumstances.
• Assist in implementing updates and changes to procedures as needed to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a flexible team member, providing backup support during peak times and assisting other functional areas within the student financial aid office.

Shift

M-F, 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a financial aid office

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range : $19.50-$23.00 hourly
