Job Description

Veterinarians throughout the Midwest refer animal clients to the Veterinary Health Center for specialized diagnoses and treatment. With sophisticated therapeutic equipment that includes an underwater treadmill, advanced imaging techniques, and groundbreaking equine lameness diagnostic equipment, we are a center for animal healthcare.
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Equine service . Our facility, located at Clydesdale Hall, provides state-of-the-art teaching and medical services, including ambulatory services. In addition to regular check-ups and preventive health care, we feature cutting edge surgical and intensive lifesaving medical care.
Job responsibilities will vary depending on clinic need, and could include :
- medication administration
- lameness exams
- foal care
- emergency care
- dentals
- ophtho
- radiology
- surgical tech
- sedation
- venipuncture
- assistance with ambulatory calls
This position requires on-call emergency duty and includes heavy lifting and physical work.
Shift
This position is a full-time, 40 hour a week position. Primary hours are Monday through Friday, between 8a to 5p. Additional there are a on-call emergency rotations that include evenings and weekends.

Anticipated Hiring Range
Hiring range begins at $19.00 per hour for new graduates without a license and $20.00 per hour for those with a license. Additional there is on-call compensation.
