What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Instructor/Supervisor UMKC Urban Teacher Education, School of Education position at University of Missouri-Kansas City?
Division of Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies in the School of Education, Social Work, and Psychological Sciences
- A Master's degree in Education (Specific content areas include: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle School and Secondary Math, Social Studies, Language Arts/English/Literacy and/or Multicultural Education)
- A Specialist of Doctoral degree in Education preferred
- At least three years of successful PK-12 public school experience as a classroom teacher or equivalent in an urban setting (at least 5 years for some positions)
- Current or prior teacher certification in the United States
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competence in use of technology such as Canvas and online repositories
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to diversity, social justice and educational equity
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teachers.
- Valid driver's license and access to transportation required.
