Position Overview:
The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join the Admissions team as an Enrollment Advisor. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Admission Operations and Business Analyst, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting prospective students through the enrollment process, ensuring an efficient and seamless experience while upholding UMSL's standards for academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate prospective student applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with UMSL's admission criteria.
- Conduct a detailed analysis of all submitted application materials to confirm compliance with established admission requirements and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or clarify application details.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Admissions team to share insights, discuss complex cases, and ensure consistent interpretation of admission criteria.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director for Admission Operations to assess trends in admissions data and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of the application process and optimize the enrollment pipeline, including streamlining procedures and refining communication strategies.
- Propose and implement data-driven solutions to improve overall admission operations and student experience.
- Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the university's enrollment goals.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in admission policies and procedures and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills, knowledge, and industry best practices.
40 hours a week, some weekend and evening hours may apply.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in university admissions or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in student information systems, CRMs, and other enrollment technologies.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
$16.72 - $19.90 per hour
