What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Support Specialist position at University of Missouri System?
This position is part of the Risk and Insurance Management department at the University of Missouri System.
- Assist with various projects as assigned.
- Manage information requests such as evidence letters and order COI’s.
- File management which includes organization of claim files, policy folders and yearly record retention.
- Enter claims and incidents into database.
- Building coordinator-mail sorting, order supplies, coordinate with repairmen and ongoing construction, replenish break room supplies, etc.
- Facilitate insurance verifications, review and produce malpractice history letters as needed.
- Answer inquiries and enter Workers’ Compensation incident reports
- Maintain department website.
- Manage vehicle database-entering new vehicles and answering insurance questions.
- Produce Non-PO voucher payments for monthly bills and settlement payments.
- Follow procedures in place when using University credit cards.
- Maintain the shared email box-answer emails or direct to the correct individual to handle.
- Schedule travel and large group meetings.
Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 4:30.
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
