Job Description


The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support one to two functional business leaders. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to complete a range of responsibilities. This position will report to Senior Director of Central Services.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, and maintain functional leadership calendars to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts, appointments are on-time, and materials are available.
  • Plan and execute travel arrangements to conferences, meetings, and other site visits, including processing reimbursements.
  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule onsite visits for candidates and visitors. Creating schedules and supporting fiscal related tasks such as travel reimbursements.
  • Gather and compile information for a daily “Plan of the Day” report that is disseminated to all MURR employees.
  • Analyze incoming correspondence, prioritize tasks, summarize contents, and draft responses independently or redirect to relevant personnel as necessary.
  • Record and distribute accurate minutes for various committee meetings.
  • Support the MURR front desk team and serve as a back-up to other MURR Administrative Assistants as needed.
  • Provide other administrative support as necessary such as routing paperwork and filing.

Must be available for regular and consistent onsite work.


Shift


Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing administrative support for multiple high-level leaders.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer programs, specifically Microsoft 365 applications.

Anticipated Hiring Range


$Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Grade: GGS 006
University Title: Office Support Assistant IV
