The purpose of this position is to oversee and coordinate operational functions related to managing testing accommodations for students with disabilities.
Essential Job Duties
Essential job duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned. The individual holding this position will serve as a representative of the University and, as such, shall promote a positive impression by demonstrating a collegial and professional customer-service approach at all times.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with diverse student populations and managing sensitive situations with confidentiality.
Detail-oriented and organized with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word and Excel required; Access, PowerPoint, and/or Publisher preferred); and e-mail (Outlook).
Familiarity with ADA, ADAAA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other relevant disability laws.
Knowledge of assistive technologies and testing accommodations for students with disabilities.
Education and Experience
The educational requirement for this position is: Associate's Degree or two years completed of 4 year program; Bachelor's degree preferred
This position requires two years of related experience working specifically with testing accommodations or managing testing centers in a higher educational setting. Knowledge of ADA is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with accommodation management software (e.g AIM).

- Manage testing accommodations for students with disabilities, including scheduling, test tracking, and faculty notification.
- Supervise Testing Center and proctor exams.
- Provide training for and supervise work-study students, including managing schedules, time off, and submitting timesheets for payroll processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests.
- Familiarity with assistive technology (e.g. Jaws, ZoomText, Dragon)
- Coordinate the logistics of ADA testing and necessary assistive technology.
- Efficiently maintain accurate files and records.
- Report and document all academic dishonesty.
- Operate AXIS camera station to proctor tests using video surveillance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
