Description
The School of Education at the University of Mount Union, a CAEP-accredited institution, invites applicants for a full-time, open-rank, non-tenure-track position in Education to begin on or before August 1, 2025.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching a 4 / 4 teaching load of introductory and upper-level courses primarily within the Intervention Specialist licensure program, working with P-12 partner districts, contributing to program assessment and accreditation, and collaborating in the work of the School of Education. The teaching of graduate-level courses within our M.Ed. program is a possibility as well.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to possess a master's degree in intervention specialist or a closely related educational field (Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of P-12 teaching experience as an intervention specialist with demonstrated success in case management, writing and implementing IEPs, and special education law. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teacher education and the ability to build an effective rapport with college-aged students in face-to-face, blended, and online learning environments. Preference will be given to candidates who have P-12 leadership and university-level teaching experience, have been trained in the Science of Reading, and have online teaching experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
