Position Summary
- Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, and key stakeholders to expand awareness of educational opportunities at UNO. Proactively engage with prospective students and their families through outreach events, presentations, and collaborations that foster a welcoming and supportive pathway to higher education.
- Recruitment Territory Management: Manage a designated recruitment territory by establishing and maintaining relationships within the community to achieve enrollment objectives. Engage with key stakeholders, schools, and organizations to expand awareness of UNO’s academic programs.
- Increased Time and Event Commitment: Dedicate additional time to community-based events, outreach activities, and recruitment efforts beyond the standard admissions role. Participate in extended engagement opportunities to strengthen connections with prospective students and families.
- Outreach Strategy Development: Assist in the creation and execution of outreach strategies that effectively connect with prospective students, families, and community partners. Identify opportunities for meaningful engagement to enhance awareness of UNO’s offerings.
- Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and recruitment initiatives, systematically tracking progress toward enrollment goals. Ensure data accuracy and transparency in reporting.
- University Ambassador: Represent the University of Nebraska at Omaha as a knowledgeable and welcoming resource for prospective students and their families. Foster strong personal connections and convey the institution’s academic and student life opportunities.
- Admissions Data Management: Manage admissions data for students in the assigned region, ensuring a smooth application and enrollment process. Direct students to appropriate resources and support services as needed.
- External Partnerships: Build and sustain relationships with schools, community organizations, and partners involved in collaborative agreements. Strengthen engagement efforts to support students to higher education.
- Recruitment Strategies: Execute recruitment strategies that align with university enrollment goals, focusing on expanding awareness and access to UNO’s academic programs and student support services.
- Goal-Driven Territory Management: Oversee recruitment efforts within the assigned territory, working towards annual enrollment targets in alignment with institutional goals and outreach initiatives.
- Community Liaison: Act as a bridge between the university and the community, engaging alumni and local leaders in the recruitment process. Foster partnerships with organizations invested in student success.
- Compliance and Support: Adhere to university policies and procedures regarding travel, recruitment events, and outreach activities, ensuring consistency with institutional standards.
