Position Summary
The Maintenance Assistant is a full-time hourly role within Housing and Residence Life at UNO. The Maintenance Assistant has primary responsibility for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the campus’ residence halls and housing property. This includes providing skilled service related to general maintenance needs in the areas of plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical repairs. The Maintenance Assistant must be collaborative and communicate well as part of the team of professional and student staff members in housing. The Maintenance Assistant will participate in an on-call rotation to assist with resolving facilities issues as needed outside of operating business hours.

Perform plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical repairs in residential apartment facilities. Respond promptly to work orders and resolve issues appropriately. Provide appropriate customer service when interacting with residents during routine maintenance project completion
