Position Summary
The Multimedia Specialist will report to the Director of Creative Services to deliver multimedia solutions, including unique and engaging photos and video, motion graphics, and short and long-format videos for a variety of MarComm and campus assignments. This includes a high level of conceptualization and creativity for capturing and editing media for social media, digital and print advertising, and other promotional material.
This position will ensure all media looks professional and accurately represents the University of Nebraska Omaha brand standards and aligns with the UNO Photo and Video guidelines.
They work independently to organize, coordinate, and project manage all aspects of multimedia projects, including but not limited to preparing scripts, scheduling and conducting interviews, establishing timelines, and preparing final deliverables.
Working closely with the Multimedia Strategist, the Multimedia Specialist will help oversee the UNO Photo and Video Guidelines, Freelance list, and support professional headshots when needed.
This role also collaborates in the creation of storytelling for high-level projects, events, and media needs assigned to the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communication. The Multimedia Specialist is expected to attend MarComm Tier 1 & 2 events for multimedia coverage; some assignments will fall outside of typical working hours.

- Experience using Adobe Premier Pro (or other similar, non-linear video editing software), Photoshop or Lightroom, Apple products, and Microsoft Office.
