Position Summary
This critical position is the first point of contact and assistance for everyone who enters or calls the College of Business Administration Dean’s office, from donors and community leaders meeting with the deans, to faculty, staff and students needing assistance. A professional, positive, friendly, customer-service attitude is required. This person also serves as the college’s event coordinator, provides vital administrative support to the deans, the CBA marketing and social media director, and the business manager, and requires a general knowledge of university policies, procedures and systems.

Duties:
Serve as the face of the college. Greet all visitors and provide primary front desk and phone support for dean’s office. Assist deans and business manager with administrative support, including preparing contracts/letters of offer and spreadsheets. Coordinate letter mailings to prospective students, thank you letters to donors, and congratulatory letters to alumni and friends of the college. Open mail, update college mailing and email databases. Answer or properly direct all inquiries emailed to the unocbainfo@unomaha.edu account. Assist with organization of Dean’s Office meetings and luncheons in the conference room.

Event Coordinator
Duties:
Assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of all external events hosted in Mammel Hall. Includes preparing contracts for all events, including board meetings, artwork events, outreach efforts, international business forums, the Value Investor Conference and Omaha Chamber events. Involves working closely with the marketing director, and with internal and external constituencies to coordinate functions and events hosted in Mammel Hall. Coordinate and work with Parking Services, vendors, caterers, and rental places. Assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of special internal events that meet the goals and objectives of the college. These include leadership seminars, the CBA Honors and Awards Ceremony, CBA Alumni Luncheon and CBA Graduations, student recruitment and career fair events. Attention to detail is critical for these events to run smoothly.
