The University of Nebraska Omaha seeks a Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success who possesses a broad, strategic vision for student success, enrollment management, and institutional effectiveness. The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success will be a seasoned leader with a track record of accomplishment in institutional effectiveness, student success, and the use of analytics to inform policy and practice. They will be a visible and passionate advocate for student success, working collaboratively across the university to enhance the student experience and support UNO’s mission as a metropolitan university.
The successful candidate will be committed to fostering a culture of student-centered support, with an emphasis on improving retention, progression, completion, and post-graduation outcomes. They will work closely with faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners to promote high-quality educational experiences and ensure that all students, including undergraduate, graduate, and online learners, have the resources and support they need to succeed. The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success will be a champion for data-driven decision-making, utilizing analytics, predictive modeling, and technology to guide the institution’s enrollment strategies and improve overall student success.
The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success will have excellent leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate across departments, colleges, and administrative divisions. They will be able to navigate a complex, dynamic environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where all students can thrive. The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to work across disciplinary boundaries and in collaboration with deans, faculty, and staff to build innovative, student-centered strategies that strengthen UNO’s academic and enrollment outcomes.
The Following Criteria Are Essential
- Master’s degree with demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas : enrollment management; institutional operation / effectiveness; institutional research / data analytics; student success.
- Minimum of five years administrative and / or academic leadership.
